1. Using Smaraan

Smaraan is a Hindu prayer and spiritual practice application available on Android and as a Chrome browser extension. By downloading the app, installing the extension, or creating an account, you agree to these Terms of Service.

You must be at least 13 years old to use Smaraan. If you are under 18, you should use Smaraan with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.

These terms apply to both the free and premium tiers of the app, and to both the Android app and the Chrome extension.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with others.

• Provide accurate information when creating your account
• Notify us immediately if you believe your account has been compromised
• You may delete your account at any time — see our Data Deletion Policy
• One account may be used on both the Android app and Chrome extension

3. Subscription & billing

Smaraan offers a free tier and a paid Premium subscription.

• Free tier — available to all users at no cost, with certain feature limits as described on our pricing page
• Premium — Monthly: ₹149 per month, billed monthly
• Premium — Annual: ₹999 per year, billed once annually
• A single Premium subscription unlocks both the Android app and Chrome extension
• Subscriptions are managed through Google Play and processed via RevenueCat
• You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Google Play subscriptions page. You will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period. No refunds are issued for unused portions of a billing period.
• Prices may change. We will notify you at least 30 days before any price increase takes effect.

4. Our content

The shlokas, mantras, Bhagavad Gita verses, meditation guides, and all other spiritual content in Smaraan are sourced from Hindu scriptures that are part of the public domain. Our translations, commentary, and presentation are original work owned by Smaraan.

You may not copy, distribute, republish, or sell our content without written permission. You may share individual shlokas for personal, non-commercial use with attribution to Smaraan.

5. What you may not do

• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of Smaraan
• Use Smaraan for any commercial purpose without our written permission
• Create derivative works based on Smaraan's content or design
• Use automated tools to scrape or access Smaraan's content at scale
• Impersonate Smaraan or claim affiliation with us
• Use Smaraan in any way that violates applicable law

6. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by following our Data Deletion Policy.

Upon termination, your right to use Smaraan ends immediately. Your data will be deleted as described in our Data Deletion Policy.

7. Disclaimer

Smaraan is provided "as is." We make no warranties about the availability, accuracy, or completeness of the app or its content. We are not responsible for any interruptions in service.

Smaraan is a spiritual practice companion. It is not a substitute for guidance from a qualified religious teacher or pandit.

Our liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 12 months preceding any claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of courts in India.
